NEW COVID PROTOCOLS

Dear Road Church Members and Friends,

The state of Connecticut has issued a new set of COVID-19 safety protocols regarding the use of face masks in response to the updated recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control, and because Connecticut is one of the most vaccinated states in the nation. Therefore, the new protocols are a significant change from what they have been.

The new state guidelines are:

Outdoors:  Masks are not required.

Indoors:  Those fully vaccinated are not required to wear masks.

Masks are still required in certain settings such as healthcare facilities, childcare facilities, in vulnerable populations, schools and public transit.

At Road Church

as of May 30, 2021

We have already been moving in the above direction. Reserved seating is no longer in effect.

Happily, all of our members and friends who have been attending our 10 am Sunday service have indicated that they are fully vaccinated. This makes us a very safe population.

So, in accordance with these new protocols the fully vaccinated will no longer be required to wear masks during our Sunday worship service and other church events.

If you are more comfortable wearing a mask we certainly respect your decision to do so. We will continue to exercise due caution at all of our gatherings.

The Sunday service will still be limited to 30 minutes until further notice, and music will be instrumental or perhaps an occasional vocal solo.

Beginning June 6, 2021 we will resume our traditional monthly communion service.

I hope you will be able to assemble with us at this special service that represents a big step toward normalcy, and God’s answer to our prayers.

May the grace of Jesus Christ, the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you.
