July 3, 2020

Dear Road Church members and friends,

I pray you will enjoy this Fourth of July weekend safely with family and friends. This week’s message comes from Psalm 86:4 as it reads in the New Living Translation, Give me happiness, O Lord, For I give myself to you. I was drawn to this scripture verse because the Declaration of Independence lists the “Pursuit of Happiness” as one of our unalienable rights. The Declaration sees happiness primarily as a human achievement, but scripture sees happiness primarily as a gift of God. I will be addressing the many facets of happiness in my message this weekend.
